Aaron Bryant, Board President
Attorney, Bryant Law Group, LLC
Aaron Bryant became a board member in 2007. He is the owner of the Bryant Law Group, LLC, where his practice areas include personal injury, workers compensation, criminal defense and real estate. Before moving to Chicago, Aaron practiced law in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Aaron is a member of the Missouri, Illinois, and American Bar Associations. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, he received his B.A. from Truman State University and his J.D. from the University of Missouri. Aaron is also a volunteer big brother with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Chicago. "I am very proud to be a board member of Imagination Theater, and will do everything I can to help it achieve its goals and its mission of positively affecting people’s lives."

Debra Desmond
Manager Workforce Development, LifeSource Blood Center
Debra has been an Imagination Theater board member since 2004. She has worked in executive search for most of her career with national clients primarily within healthcare and the oil and gas industry. She began her career at Mobil Oil Corporation in the resale petroleum division. Debra earned her Masters degree in Human Resources from Loyola University Chicago and undergrad at North Central College. “It’s wonderful to witness how people transform their perceptions when they experience an Imagination Theater performance. It makes me feel gratified to serve as a board member of such a worthwhile organization.”

Robin Scott Hunden, President Emeritus
Hunden Strategic Partners, President
Mr. Hunden offers extensive experience in the economics of major real estate projects. He has provided expertise for over 200 projects including the Kansas City Power & Light District, 4th Street Live! (Louisville), the Indianapolis Downtown Marriott, Chicago’s Union Station redevelopment, the New Yorker Hotel, Conseco Fieldhouse, Fort Worth Omni, and numerous convention hotels, convention centers and mixed-use districts (Aspen, Boca Raton, Chicago). Prior to starting HSP, he served as Vice President of Johnson Consulting in Chicago. There, he led specialized work on hotels, conference centers, sports, urban entertainment-retail districts and convention centers. He worked on real estate finance and transactions at Landauer Associates and Grubb & Ellis. His public-sector experience includes managing projects for the Indianapolis Bond Bank and the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office, including the 1999 Indiana Convention Center expansion, the RCA Dome expansion, and Conseco Fieldhouse. He has written articles on convention hotel development and taught college-level Destination Development courses.
 
Mr. Hunden is a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), ULI, IEDC, IDA, ICMA, and GFOA. He has conducted IEDC panel discussions and taught professional development courses for IEDC. He has also spoken at the Greek Conference on Tourism and the Bond Buyer’s “Tourism as Economic Development” conference in 2006.

Rob has been a member of the Imagination Theater Board since 2004.

Nell McKitrick, Board Secretary
Associate Dean of Admissions, Lake Forest Graduate School of Management
As Associate Dean of Admissions, current responsibilities include developing and implementing the strategic direction of the recruiting and admissions functions for the MBA program.

Lake Forest Graduate School is a leading provider of graduate business education for experienced working professionals. The Lake Forest MBA program is the fourth largest not-for-profit part-time MBA program in the Chicagoland area, with campuses in Lake Forest, downtown Chicago, Schaumburg, Grayslake, and on-site MBA programs at companies including Allstate Insurance and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.  

Before assuming her current position, Nell was Director of Admissions at the school’s Chicago Campus. She joined the graduate school in 2000.

Prior to joining Lake Forest, Ms. McKitrick has had a successful career in consulting and management, working with companies including Arthur Andersen LLP, International Finance Corporation, U.S. Peace Corps, Films Incorporated and Starbucks Coffee.   

Nell earned a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University, and Master of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School. She is a member of Menttium 100’s Leadership Program. 

Ms. McKitrick was elected to the Board of Directors of Imagination Theater in 2007.

Jamie Pasquale
Dr. Jamie Pasquale has been actively involved with Imagination Theater since 2000, when she was brought on as a consultant to develop "No Secrets", our child sexual abuse prevention program. Dr. Pasquale attended the University of Illinois and obtained her doctorate degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2000. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice treating primarily adolescents and adults. She continues to oversee "No Secrets" and joined our Board of Directors in 2005. Dr. Pasquale also serves on Imagination Theater's Fundraising Committee.

Luke Pavone
—Principal, Highcrest Middle School, Wilmette Public S.D. 39 (2008-09)
Luke Pavone, a lifelong Chicago area resident, is the newest board member starting in March of 2008. After a short time in the banking industry after receiving his B.S. degree from Illinois State University, Luke returned to his first passion, education.  After serving as both a general and special education instructor for five years, Luke completed his M.A. degree in Education Leadership and began his career in education administration.  Luke has served in leadership roles across the educational continuum: elementary, intermediate, middle/junior high, and high school.  Luke has also served as an adjunct faculty member for the University of St. Francis in Joliet, teaching master's courses in staff development.  He has recently completed his doctoral coursework at Northern Illinois University in Education Leadership and Supervision.  "In my administrative role I have had the opportunity to bring Imagination Theater to my school and community.  I was impressed immediately with the content, message, and group dynamic of the actors.  IT understands the issues and pressures students of all ages are faced with.  I am honored to be part of this board and collaborate with the team to move IT towards their future goals."

Suvie Suckerman
Sivie Suckerman is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with high risk urban youth in the South Side of Chicago.  Before this she worked as an actor, actor educator, playwright, director, and producer in Minneapolis, Seattle, and New York City spanning 15 years.  Sivie has worked to promote arts education and the use of theater as a device for social change as well as a learning and therapeutic tool for many years and is very excited about being a part of Imagination Theater's Board of Directors.

Rob Smitherman, Board Treasurer
Rob Smitherman attended Washington & Lee University, in Lexington, Virginia, and the Marshall Wythe School of Law, College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia. Rob had a thriving business law practice for over two decades in Virginia before moving to Chicago. He was sports manager for the 2006 Chicago Gay Games and is currently working part-time for Hunden Strategic Partners, a market research and consulting firm.
