Ease the Tease—Responding to Teasing and Bullying
Designed in collaboration with Judy Freedman, LCSW, and founder of the nationally acclaimed Easing the Teasing® (www.easingtheteasing.com), this show explores the differences between ‘friendly’ and ‘hurtful’ teasing and emphasizes the responsibility everyone has to treat one another with respect. Actors present dramatic scenarios and students are invited on stage to “ease the tease” using a variety of new skills, helping to build confidence they can draw upon if teasing occurs in the future. Imagination Theater also offers follow-up classroom workshops—a great opportunity for more in-depth learning on this important topic.
